Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center
Annual report design for complex healthcare content
This annual report design project for Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center turned institutional, medical and financial information into a clear printed publication. The report needed to feel credible, precise and easy to navigate. It also had to present data-heavy content in a more structured way. I combined editorial layout, medical imagery, custom charts and a restrained colour palette. Together, these elements created a consistent visual language across the 60-page report.

Challenge: Organise medical, institutional and financial information into a clear 60-page annual report for a leading healthcare organisation.
Creating structure for complex healthcare content
The report brought together institutional information, medical references, operational updates and visual material from the hospital’s activity. I focused on clarity, rhythm and hierarchy, so each section could feel easy to read. The layout system helped the content stay organised without becoming dense or fragmented. Precise typography and controlled colour use gave the publication a professional tone. At the same time, the report kept enough visual character to feel like a carefully designed institutional object.
Designing charts and data with clarity
Data visualization played a central role in the project. The report included charts, percentages, comparisons and financial information that needed to feel part of the same editorial language. I designed a consistent system for statistical content, so readers could scan, compare and understand information more quickly. As a result, the data pages became part of the reading experience, rather than separate technical inserts.
Balancing medical precision with a human institutional tone
The publication also needed to show the human and institutional side of the hospital. Medical imagery, archive photographs, portraits and board information all had to work within the same editorial system. I used structured layouts to connect medical expertise, institutional responsibility and the people behind the organisation. This helped the report avoid a purely corporate tone. The result felt serious and precise, but still human.
Print production and a clear institutional outcome
The project gave Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center a professional way to present complex medical, institutional and financial information in print. Through editorial structure, consistent data visualization and careful production, the annual report became a clear communication tool for a serious healthcare institution. Rather than treating the report as a decorative publication, the design focused on trust, clarity and information hierarchy. The result is a disciplined editorial piece that supports both formal presentation and long-term institutional communication.
