The Spicy Collection

Music packaging and print production for a limited CD release

The Spicy Collection is a music packaging design project for a CD release by Spicy Records. The project focused on creating a small physical object with a strong tactile character. The design included the outer sleeve, inner booklet, disc artwork and print production supervision. Also, the package used custom construction, die-cut details and special print finishes. As a result, the CD felt more collectible and memorable. Instead of treating the release as a simple printed cover, the design focused on material, contrast and detail.

Music packaging design with tactile production details

The sleeve uses a dark visual language with a sharp red accent. This creates contrast between the typography, the cut-out detail and the physical material. The custom construction gives the package a more crafted quality. Also, the die-cut detail invites closer inspection and adds depth to the front cover. Special print finishes help the design feel more physical. Therefore, the final piece works as more than a standard CD case. It becomes a compact music object with a clear production idea.

Outcome

The final package gave The Spicy Collection a distinctive physical presence. The typography, dark surfaces, red detail and cut-out construction work together as one compact visual system. The project remains a useful example of print-focused design. It shows how production choices, materials and finishing techniques can become part of the design idea.
